The WIP Lead must work closely with the Service Delivery Processes and the Service Engagement Initiation streams before agreeing with the Client, incumbent (if appropriate) and other relevant service providers, what actions should be taken if there is a variance to the agreed project implementation plan or in scope list.

• Document what has been agreed and get sign-off
• This may be in the form of Client Agreement Memo in agreement with the Client, incumbent and/or other service provider(s) as appropriate
• This may require further commercial negotiations and a Change Control Note to the contract
• Update the WIP Projects Inventory with all of the relevant information gathered
• Update the Service Engagement Risk Log and Service Engagement Issue Log as appropriate.
